Local artist wins competition to display work at State Capitol

Painting of Delta landscape will be exhibited alongside artwork from throughout state

A painting by West Sacramento artist Paula Wenzl Bellacera will represent the Fifth Senate District in the Ninth Annual California Contemporary Art Collection exhibit at the State Capitol.

Bellacera’s painting “Delta Vineyard” was selected from submissions from 18 competitors from throughout the district by a representative from the Yolo Arts Council. Bellacera’s painting will be on display June 2011 through September 2012.
