What Stockton, San Joaquin County representatives say about $1.2T infrastructure bill

"The bipartisan infrastructure bill signed by President Biden this weekend is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to supercharge many important priorities in California - climate and energy investments, safer roads and cleaner water,” State Sen. Susan Eggman, D-Stockton, said. 

Eggman authored Assembly Bill 758 in 2017, resulting in the creation of the Valley Link Rail. The transportation project was established on Jan. 1, 2018, and aims to improve connectivity between the BART system in the Tri-Valley and the Altamont Commuter Express.

The “expansion of rail service, including projects like Valley Link that will help improve travel in our region,” Eggman said. “I'm thrilled that the federal government is stepping up to help with these important improvements."
