Make Sure Your Vote Counts in the June 2 Primary
Dear neighbor,
The June 2 Primary is a very important election, and it’s essential to make sure that your vote counts, especially if you vote by mail.
The registrar of voters offices in San Joaquin and Alameda counties have started to mail ballots to all registered voters, so you should receive yours soon, if you haven’t already.
To track your ballot, you can sign up at wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov.
Due to recent changes by the U.S. Postal Service and its process for postmarking ballots, please make sure to mail your ballot at least one week before the election to ensure that it’s postmarked by Election Day and counted.
Or, you can drop off your ballot at an official ballot drop box through Election Day. For San Joaquin County voters, check here for a drop box near you. For Alameda County voters, check here.
Even though you will receive a ballot in the mail, you can vote in person instead on Election Day. To find your local polling place, go here. For a list of official vote centers in Alameda County, check here.
If you would like to vote in person, you don’t have to wait for Election Day. Early voting has already started. In San Joaquin County, you can vote early in person at the Registrar’s Office, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton. In Alameda County, go here for more information on early voting.
If you have not yet registered to vote, the deadline to register online or by mail is May 18. After that date, voters can still register and cast a ballot the same day through Election Day at a county elections office, vote center, or polling place. You can check your voter registration status here.
