Make Sure Your Vote Counts in the Nov. 3 Election
Dear neighbor,
The November 3 General Election is critical, and it’s essential to make sure that your vote counts.
The registrars of voters in San Joaquin and Alameda counties have mailed ballots to all registered voters, so you should have received yours by now. To track your ballot, you can sign up at wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov.
This year, the California Secretary of State is urging voters to mail their ballots at least five days before the Nov. 3 election to ensure that your vote is counted. Your ballot must be postmarked by no later than Election Day, and if mailing on Nov. 3, make sure to get a hand-stamped postmark from a postal employee inside a U.S. Post Office.
Or, you can drop off your ballot at an official ballot drop box through Election Day. For San Joaquin County voters, check here for a drop box near you. For Alameda County voters, check here.
If you prefer to vote in person on Election Day, you can go to your local polling place. To find your local polling place in San Joaquin County, go here. For a list of official vote centers in Alameda County, check here.
If you prefer to vote in person, but don’t want to wait for Election Day, you can vote early. In San Joaquin County, in person voting has already begun at the Registrar’s Office, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton. The Registrar of Voters’ Office is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In Alameda County, early voting is underway at the Alameda County Registrar’s Office at 1225 Fallon Street, Rm. G-1, Oakland. In addition, starting on Oct. 24, Alameda County voters will be able to vote in person at voting centers.
If you have not yet registered to vote, you can still register and cast a ballot at the same time through Election Day at a county elections office, vote center, or polling place.
