Please Join Me for Free Tacos & Taxes Event on April 15

Dear Neighbor, 

It’s tax time!

As chair of the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee, it’s my honor to invite you to join me and my staff for a FREE Tacos and Taxes event on April 15, where you can get help to file your taxes if your individual annual income is less than $69,000.

Certified volunteers and interpreters will be at the event to assist you with your tax preparation, and there will be delicious tacos for you to enjoy. 

The April 15 event will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dorothy L. Jones Resource Center, 2044 Fair Street, Stockton, CA 95206.

At the event, you can learn more about ways to potentially reduce your taxes by taking advantage of California’s tax credit programs for low-income individuals and families, including the California Earned Income Tax Credit (Cal EITC) and the Young Child Tax Credit.
