Senior Scam Stopper Seminar

Senior Scam Flyer

Dear Neighbor,

The number of scams targeting elderly Americans has skyrocketed in recent years. In 2024, seniors lost at least $4.9 billion in fraudulent schemes – a 43% increase from just one year before.

To learn how to avoid being victimized by fraud and theft, please join me, Assemblymember Liz Ortega and Senator Aisha Wahab for a Senior Scam Stopper Seminar on April 24 in Dublin.

The free seminar, which will be held in partnership with the Contractors State License Board, will feature experts who will share helpful information on avoiding home repair scams, identity theft, mail and auto repair fraud, insurance scams, and more.

Seniors, families, and caregivers are all encouraged to attend the seminar, which will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the Shannon Community Center, Ambrose Hall, 11600 Shannon Avenue, Dublin, CA 94568.

To RSVP: Phone: (510) 583-8818 or visit https://ortega.asmdc.org/events

If you need help RSVPing – or with any other legislative matter – please do not hesitate to reach out to our office at (925) 828-2500.

Hope to see you on April 24.
